Under the tutelage of Stevie Greenwell, Vocal Music Teacher and Choirmaster, and Natalie John, Professional Music Arranger, the Advanced Treble Choir comprised of 20+ very talented singers at the Marin School of the Arts (MSA) Vocal Music created an "a-Capella Competetion" version of the song.  Wearing their Care for Peace t-shirts the girls performed The Song at the annual Spring Concert on May 17, 2016. A few months ago I was approached by Jeff Hardy, a local Novato resident who wrote a song called CARE FOR PEACE for Burmese children to sing at Groundbreakings and Grand Openings of village-based community health and education centers in rural Myanmar (formerly known as “Burma”).

Jeff had another idea for the song.  He wanted to invite children of all ages all over the world to enter the GLOBAL CARE FOR PEACE SONG CONTEST that is now slated to be inaugurated this time next year.

Stevie's Story

Jeff told me he had been looking for a choir that could create a professional-quality, a-capella CARE FOR PEACE SONG that would have multi-part harmonies and a contemporary feel like what he had seen on NBC’s Five-season SING-OFF television series.

The result is what we presented at the inaugural showing of the song on May 17th: The girls from the Marin School of the Arts, Advanced Treble Choir singing a competition-ready CARE FOR PEACE SONG.

We are looking forward to seeing all the talented children (of all ages) all over the world sing the Care for Peace song!
Following the May 17th Spring Concert the girls got together once again -- this time in a professional recording studio where they produced the song.  The audio from the studio recording will be used in developing a music video soon to be posted here... in the meantime, enjoy listening to the audio track:
